Worked with the Dunster Community Association and the UBC Office of Regional and International Community Engagement to examine how BC agricultural land use policies affect the availability and accessibility of agricultural land, while supporting community-led efforts toward sustainable farmland use, coalition building, and long-term policy change.

Conducted a thematic analysis of over 400 Student Ambassador applications to evaluate how UBC’s campus tours influence prospective students’ decisions to enroll and apply as ambassadors.
Led the planning and coordination of a Cultural Interpreter-led tour at UBC’s Museum of Anthropology, offering student ambassadors a meaningful encounter with Indigenous belongings, storytelling, and cultural education.

Assisted in organizing a specialized training project that offers UBC Vancouver Campus Student Ambassadors the opportunity to observe Okanagan campus tours. This porject aims to enhance their understanding of the Okanagan campus experience, fostering greater awareness of the academic, social, and community opportunities available to prospective students across both campuses. The program strengthens cross-campus collaboration and resource/ knowledge exchange.
This research explores how the interplay of linear and nonlinear chronotopes in the literary works Men in the Sun by Ghassan Kanafani and The Man and His Alarm Clock by Samira Azzam reflects the authors' lived experiences of Palestinian exile and displacement. As part of my Geographies of Migration class, this research investigates the impact of the Israeli blockade on forced migration in the Gaza Strip. It examines how the blockade's economic and security consequences drive Palestinians to migrate within Gaza and across borders, focusing on the 2023 Israel-Hamas conflict. The study highlights the role of political sovereignty in shaping migration routes and the challenges faced by displaced individuals.
For my GEOG 310: Environment and Sustainability class, I examined the effectiveness of community-based conservation (CBC) compared to protectionist models. I argued that CBC better supports Indigenous communities by involving them in conservation efforts, providing both ecological and economic benefits. Through case studies like the Lacandon Community Forest and the Maya Biosphere Reserve, I demonstrated how CBC can enhance biodiversity protection while empowering local communities.
As part of the Sea2City Design Challenge, I collaborated with CityStudio and the City of Vancouver on their coastal adaptation plan for False Creek. This project focused on evaluating the impact of sea level rise on vulnerable communities. I conducted site visits, reviewed design proposals, and critiqued the plans, particularly concerning unsheltered cyclists who were overlooked in the design.
